What is APECIH?
APECIH is a Swiss non-profit organization founded in 2015 in Hermance (Geneva, Switzerland). It supports education and cultural preservation in the Himalayan region of Zanskar (Ladakh, India), particularly through the founding and development of the Rainbow School near Padum.
Who founded APECIH?
APECIH was founded by Pierre Odier , a Genevan involved in Zanskar since 1991. In 2024, he moved there to strengthen his commitment on the ground.
What is the main mission of APECIH?
Providing “Modern Education with Traditional Values” : Providing Zankarpa children with an academic education while preserving their culture.
