An eventful summer at Rainbow School

Rainbow School News - June/July/August 2025


Beyond ongoing construction, June and July were filled with events and activities for Rainbow School. We celebrated some exciting milestones while pursuing our educational and cultural goals.



Key events:


Annual School Picnic A recreational day for students and teachers, filled with games and fun activities, allowing everyone to recharge their batteries and strengthen bonds within the school community.


Costume Competition and Talent Hunt Under the theme of "Environment," students expressed their talents through speeches, sketches, stories, and artistic creations, thus raising awareness about protecting our planet. All participants received a certificate of appreciation.


Compassion Day In July, we celebrated the 90th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama with a traditional Tibetan dance, honoring his teachings of peace and compassion.


Cultural performance in the presence of His Holiness the Dalaï-Lama Our students had the honor of presenting a cultural dance at the Karsha Summer Symposium, in the presence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, providing an unforgettable moment for the entire school.

Progress and support:

Local government support

Play equipment (spring horse, slide, swing) was donated by Minister Er. Punchok Tashi for the school park.

Traditional musical instruments

Two local drum sets were acquired to transmit and preserve our musical heritage.

Infrastructure

The metal mesh roof of the main building was completed to protect the school from the elements.


Other achievements:


Best class

The Lower Kindergarten class was voted “Best Class” for June and July.


Student-teacher collaboration

Regular fun activities strengthening student-teacher collaboration and developing social and creative skills.


Through these initiatives, Rainbow School continues to provide a stimulating and culturally enriching environment for its students, while strengthening its ties with the community and its partners.
