Rainbow School News - May 2025

Rainbow School – Wednesday Tradition: Traditional Outfits

To keep our children connected to our rich traditional values, Rainbow School celebrates "Traditional Wednesday" every week. On this day, students and staff proudly wear traditional attire, and our children look forward to it. To encourage participation, we launched a fun and engaging initiative: "Mr. and Miss Wednesday," which recognizes the students who wear the most beautiful traditional attire each week. Winners are selected by consensus by the teachers and receive a notebook and pencil as a thank you. Let's continue to celebrate our culture with pride and enthusiasm every Wednesday!

Ladakh Day Celebration

Every year, Rainbow School celebrates Ladakh Day in May to honor and preserve the rich culture and customs of Ladakh. On this special day: Students and staff wear traditional Ladakhi costumes, many of which are endangered, to showcase and revive our cultural heritage. Authentic local dishes are presented, and students take the lead in explaining the ingredients and their cultural significance. This celebration not only strengthens our identity but also inspires pride in our roots. Let us continue to preserve and promote the essence of Ladakh through these meaningful traditions. With the improvement in the weather, the school day begins with a morning assembly, during which we pray to the Almighty. Students present current events, tell jokes and anecdotes, recite rhymes, and ask general knowledge questions to improve their speaking skills and gain confidence in public speaking.

Annual Spelling Bee and Quiz Competition

Rainbow School held its annual Spelling Bee and Quiz Competition , a highly anticipated event that encourages academic excellence, teamwork, and healthy competition among our students. Students were grouped into four teams, each representing a unique color and spirit. The competition attracted enthusiastic participation, showcasing our students' impressive language and general knowledge skills. At the end of the event, the winning team received the prestigious trophy, recognizing their hard work, coordination, and outstanding performance. Congratulations to the winning team and congratulations to all participants for making this event a resounding success!
